I am delighted to announce that artist John Martin Fulton has joined the ‘Local Artists Project’, as reported by the Evening Times here
Glasgow North is home to many incredibly talented and creative artists and this project hopes to promote up-and-coming artists across the area. The project will see local artists displaying their artwork in the constituency office for 4-6 weeks at a time.
J M Fulton is an award-winning Scottish artist who studied at the Glasgow School of Art's Fine Art course and has been awarded a scholarship from the Royal Scottish Academy. His art celebrates the symbols that make up Scottish culture and the objects and characteristics that make up Scottish life.
J M Fulton also shares his art practice through taking therapeutic workshops in hard-to-reach social care settings and with youth groups. Details of his career can be found at www.jmfultonart.com
The first artist to kick off this exciting project was Christopher Stevens of Nautilus Inkworks, who was followed by Andy Peutherer and Michelle Campbell, and Frances Corr. I am thrilled that John Martin Fulton’s original paintings are now part of the Project.
To view his work just pop by the office in Firhill Road where his art will be on display until the middle of July. Passers-by will be able to take away leaflets and business cards to contact the artist directly for purchases.
