Patrick Grady

Patrick Grady MP will welcome Digital Scotland to Maryhill on Thursday 01 September as they make a special visit to help local people find out more about the benefits of fibre broadband.

The Glasgow North MP will host a special drop-in event at his constituency office - Unit 1, Firhill Business Centre, 74-76 Firhill Road, G20 7BA – between 10.30am and 12.30pm for anyone in the local community interested in finding out how fibre broadband works and the benefits it can provide. Members of the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme will be on hand at the event to get people up to speed with fibre broadband technology and provide advice on areas such as signing up with a service provider.

The Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme aims to provide fibre broadband infrastructure to parts of Scotland not included in commercial providers' investment plans. Combined with current commercial roll-out plans, the programme will deliver access to fibre broadband to around 95% of premises by the end of March 2018.

Local constituents can check the interactive map on the Digital Scotland website ( to find out if they can get the service and further information is also available on Twitter @ScotSuperfast or Facebook at

Anyone with questions about fibre broadband that they wish to discuss with the team from Digital Scotland should feel free to stop by on the day
