Patrick Grady

As you may already be aware, the public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire officially opened yesterday, and my thoughts are once again with the victims of this tragic incident.

The inquiry will be led by Sir Martin Moore-Bick, who has said that the Inquiry “will provide answers”. People are rightly concerned about not only the social housing policy that led to such tragedy, but also the response both during and immediately after the incident, and will be looking to the inquiry for meaningful answers. Crucial questions should not be closed off from proper investigation, and the terms of reference must encompass all aspects of what led to the tragic incident and allow lessons to be learned.

Along with my SNP colleagues both in Westminster and in Holyrood, I will be following the inquiry closely, and I’ll keep you updated with further developments.

More information about the Inquiry including a list of the issues to be discussed can be found here: https://www.grenfelltowerinquiry.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/GT.List-of-Issues-14-Sept.pdf
